Technical and Professional Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Writing and Editing: Proficient in creating clear, concise, and engaging written content for various platforms, including press releases, blog posts, social media posts, and website content.
- SEO: Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques to optimize content for better visibility in search results.
- Content Management Systems (CMS): Familiarity with CMS platforms to upload, format, and manage content on the GCC/CSCL website.
- Social Media Platforms: Competency in using social media platforms for content distribution and engagement.
- Analytics Tools: Ability to utilize analytics tools to track the performance of content and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Graphic Design: Basic design skills to create or modify visuals for content, if required with the help of the design expert.
- Video Production: Understanding of video content creation or the ability to collaborate with multimedia professionals.
- Photography: Proficiency in selecting appropriate images, with knowledge of cropping techniques for use in city communication materials.
- Multimedia Editing: Basic video and image editing skills to enhance multimedia content.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing data and metrics to measure the impact of content on the audience.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Multimedia Content Development
- Collect data from the Departments and Zonal Offices of Greater Chennai Corporation.
- Develop and manage creative content across video, audio, graphic, and written formats for social media, campaigns, and public service announcements.
- Assist in video shoots, audio recordings, and live event coverage.
- Collaborate with production teams for scriptwriting, direction, and execution of content.
2. Social Media Coordination
- Draft and post engaging content in both Tamil and English across various platforms.
- Monitor public feedback and respond or escalate citizen grievances in coordination with relevant departments.
- Track performance metrics and generate engagement reports.
3. Campaign Planning & Execution
- Support the design and rollout of communication campaigns for Corporation initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of content materials and coordination between design, media, and field teams.
- Maintain consistency in messaging and branding across all media.
4. Media Management & Event Coordination
- Manage the organization and archiving of multimedia assets (videos, photos, animations).
- Plan and coordinate media coverage for Corporation events and awareness drives.
- Liaise with external vendors, media agencies, and in-house teams for smooth operations.
5. Content Writing & Language Proficiency
- Write and edit social media posts, scripts, captions, and campaign material in Tamil and English.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the Corporation’s communication tone.
- Proofread content and maintain quality standards.
6. Innovation & Technology Adaptation
- Work with designers and editors on integrating new media tools including AI-based content formats.
Stay updated with emerging trends in public communication and civic engagement.
Eligible Age
Not exceeding 45 years as on 31.01.2025.
Qualification
Any UG/PG degree from a recognized institution, preferably B.A English literature/B.Sc Electronic Media/Journalism and Mass Communication/M.SW

Rs.45,000 per month
